Moana Simas is a PhD candidate at the Industrial Ecology Programme, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on quantifying drivers for environmental and socioeconomic impacts in a globalized economy. She holds a Masters in Energy and a Bachelor in Environmental Science and Management, both from the University of São Paulo, in Brazil.
