David Lerpiniere is a researcher with the University of Leeds (UK) and an independent consultant. He works with local and central governments, international agencies and business to tackle waste and resource management challenges. His research interests focus on the effectiveness of development co-operation in the solid waste management sector.

As quantities of waste generated across the world continue to grow rapidly, it will be critical that communities and businesses have the skills to address this challenge.
