Sandra Cointreau
Sandra Cointreau is a civil/environmental engineer committed to doing hands-on field work and creative planning to address the problems of waste management, water resource protection and conservation of natural resources. She has worked in over 60 countries on these issues, helping development agencies, governments and corporate clients to develop systems and technologies for a holistically and integrated sustainable future. Most of her career has been as a consultant; but she joined World Bank as their global Solid Waste Advisor from 2003 to 2009, to help build their knowledge base and the sector portfolio.
