Sanjay Gupta
Dr. Sanjay K Gupta works at Skat Consulting Ltd. on Urban Services including water, sanitation, waste management, livelihood and small and micro enterprise development. He has 15 years of experience in waste with focus on recycling value chains and integration of informal recycling sector in Azerbaijan, Egypt, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. Sanjay’s strengths are in the areas of policy and planning, municipal capacity building, knowledge creation, network management, monitoring, evaluation and social impact assessment and analysis.
Dr. Gupta has also written several papers on waste issues which have been published in international publications, spoke in more than 20 countries and is co-author of books like Millennium Development Goals and Solid Waste Management (translated in to 4 foreign languages), Status of Solid Waste in World Cities for UN-Habitat, which won the best book on the subject award from International Solid Waste Association, Vienna, Austria in 2010. His recent contribution was for Global Waste Management Outlook published by UNEP and ISWA.
